After completing his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay, he moved first to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and then to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. He currently lives in Minneapolis where he works as a scientist. Besides science and technology, he is interested in questions of equality and sustainability and is constantly engaged in addressing these questions through stories and theater.
