GENESIS 6 - 9 : STORY OF NOAH'S ARK |
Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. |
Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. |
God looked upon the earth and saw that it was corrupt. |
God said unto Noah, "The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth." |
God told Noah to make an Ark of Gopher wood. |
The length of the ark had to be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. |
God said unto Noah, "Behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die." |
God said unto Noah, "Of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female." |
God wanted Noah to take his sons and their wives and his wife along with other animal and bird species. |
Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. |
The rain was upon the earth for forty days and forty nights. |
All the living things were destroyed by the flood except those in the Ark and the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days. |
At the end of forty days, Noah send a dove to see if the waters abated from the face of the ground. |
Noah knew the water were abated from the face of the ground since the dove brought back an olive leaf. |
Noah build an altar unto the Lord and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord. |
God set a rainbow in the sky and said unto Noah, "This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh." |
